| I'd love to go, but it's in college term time, resulting in a theoretical dash from Birmingham to Dover on Friday 11th, followed by me sodding up travel like I always do, and getting stranded in France.
I'll look into the prices of travel to Le Mans, and my bank account now, and make my decision soon. | |

| Dave (hippotastic in our alliance) has made other plans for that weekend, and my initial plan was to travel there in his camper van and spend the weekend. Not sure what I'm doing now, but the prices you give are much more reasonable than I would have guessed. If I have no other plans closer to the time, I expect I will still drive down there myself - will update you closer to the time.

| Guess you will have to try change Daves mind hehe. Is there lots of hotels etc in that area as i know it will be really busy? But if worst comes to worst i will sleep in my car hehe, done that a few times lol. Well if i do go down, we could meet up somewhere if u like Nevarn? Then head down together.

| Its certainly possible Euan - I won't really know what I'm doing until at least April though. Hopefully that won't be too late to book some tickets... | |

| Hello all, My "Campervan" (lol its a Bongo) is in the Garage getting major surgery. The Radiator split, it dropped the water and warped the head. Its a lot of money to fix, and I'm determined to get the most out of the thing now when I get it back. So Le Mans Classic might back on this year. I want to go to the classic. It's the race that appeals the most and the one I want to attend. I will have myself and three people in the van, Nevarn being one if he wants a ride. If he cannot make it there will be three bodies. I have an awning and I can camp quite happily with electric, I can get by without it. So I need somewhere to park preferably on grass so we can "live" in the thing for the weekend. Throw a tent or two up and I can call it home. So any suggestions where to park? Local knowledge is much better than internet reccies, so I am open to all ideas. One of my friends will definately want a hotel as he is a wuss, but then again we could all go hotels if the price if right and I can park the van safely. I just want to be there and enjoy it Looking forward to catching up with everyone, and if there is space to throw a tent by the camp, the more the merrier I say. Regards David (Hippotastic) | |

| Sorry to hear about the van probs Dave, but glad you are getting it fixed and up for Le Mans again. I am still definitely going if you can get the van in shape for it.

Nevarn | |

| Le Mans Classic Camping via Dover-Calais (CLM-DOVER-4WHL-CAMP) Bleu Nord - on-circuit, 7m by 5m pitch / Camping 4n Channel Crossing via Dover/Calais (P&O) (CC DOVER) 1 Speed Chills Guest Membership (CLM GUEST) Bleu Nord Camping (CLMP BN) Extra spce camping pitch Weekend General Admission Ticket (CLMP GA) 4 Supplement Grandstand T19 Lagache (CLMP GSTAND) Supplement Paddock Pass (dress code applies) (CLMP PADDOCK) I might have somewhere to park the Van I have two quotes atm, one a bit more than the other, but I am aiming for two pitches (you never know when you need the space for another tent) Paddock passes and Grandstand tickets. If pitch the awning for a kitchen, we can have a 4 man tent to sleep in, Van to lock valuables away, and with two piches, space to entertain guests.... This might actually take off... | |

| It is the main race that's the 12-13 June and the Classic is the 10-11 July. It might be worth getting tents over here for those who were talking about them. Last year, you could get a 2 man tent for about 10€, wether it will be the same this year... For those who want/need a hotel, you will probably have to go through a booking agency. Shame to here about you G.F.X, perhaps you can make it for the Classic instead. It's not the same atmosphere but it's really good | |

| I am going to the classic, on July 8th-12th, not the main race in June. Sorry if it is confusing, I should have started another thread fo the classic to keep the events apart. I might look into booking a tent, save carrying it, but thats half the fun trying to put up a tent you borrowed in the dark after a long day driving... Can't Wait!! | |
